Donation to NPS from FoPDonation

The Friends of Padre were honored to aid the continued effort for Hurricane Ike debris removal on Padre Island. The National Park Service continues to clear the beachfront 15 more miles past the original cleanup efforts.

FoP made a donation to the facilities manager of Padre Island National Seashore Larry Turk in the amount of $20,500. These funds are going to be used to assist in the removal of the enormous amount of hurricane debris still remaining on the island.

If you too would like to help you can donate here on the website using paypal or contact one of the Friends for more info.

FoP Donated Beach Wheel Chair in ActionDonation

Kelle and I went out today to PINS at Malaquite Beach to walk the dog for five miles. We found this lady Edith Delany of San Antonio using one of the beach wheelchairs possibly the one that Friends of Padre donated recently. She said it was great and that we could use her picture and that PINS rents them for free if someone lets them write down their driver’s license number. We are doing good!
